A number of stunning holiday homes can be rented from the royal family. There's nothing like a holiday spent on these fair isles, especially when the sun is beating down, the flowers are out in bloom and all is well with the world.
Now that spring is approaching and the cold days of winter will soon be a memory, we can all day dream of frolicking in the Great British countryside again on a well earned holiday.
Arguably there is no more British a place or way to do this than in the ruggedly and beautiful county of Cornwall, and in a home owned by the royal family.
This is very much a possibility thanks to the Duchy of Cornwall, which is now under the watchful gaze of Prince William, and still in possession of a vast property portfolio, reports Cornwall Live.
On its books are an array of homes and cottages which can be rented, with some suitable for just a couple and others parties of 18.
It should be noted that the the nine-bedroom Restormel Manor in Lostwithiel, not far from St Austell, may be slightly out of reach for those working on a strict budget.
Here are a selection of some of the best properties to be rented from the Duchy. (You can see the full list of properties here).

Images of Craziest Looking Monkey bing.com/imagesProboscis monkeys are diurnal (most active from late afternoon to night), omnivores, and known for their unusually long noses.

For the proboscis monkey, they call a single island, Borneo, in Southeast Asia home, which just so happens to be the largest island in Asia – and the third-largest in the world!

This means that proboscis monkeys have what is known as sexual dimorphism (when males and females of a species look different).

They have a bright red penis and a perpetual erection, which is unique to this species.

Donald Trump was given a standing ovation when he arrived at a wrestling tournament in Oklahoma amid claims he is set to be arrested next week. The former president was cheered by the crowd and pumped his fist as he made his way to his seat, clad in his trademark blue suit and red tie and flanked by his security detail.
Mr Trump, 76, posed for photographs with fans at the event at the BOK Center in Tulsa, seemingly unconcerned about his allegedly imminent arrest over a hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
He said "illegal leaks" from the Manhattan district attorney's office indicated he will be arrested on Tuesday.
Making the claim on his Truth Social platform, Mr Trump provided no evidence he had been directly informed of a pending arrest and did not say how he knew of such plans.
Law enforcement agencies are preparing for a possible indictment of Mr Trump as early as next week, NBC News reports.
The Manhattan district attorney's office declined to comment on Mr Trump's claim and a spokesman for the former president did not respond when contacted.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has apparently been investigating whether payments made to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal in 2016 broke state laws.

A grand jury in Manhattan has been hearing from witnesses, including former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, who says he orchestrated payments to the women to silence them about sexual encounters they said they had with Mr Trump a decade earlier.
Mr Bragg's office is also said to be examining the way Mr Trump's company compensated Cohen for his work.
Cohen was jailed for three years in 2018 after admitting making the payments.
He also pleaded guilty to tax evasion and lying to Congress about the extent of negotiations between the Trump Organisation and a project to build a Trump Tower in Moscow.
Cohen claimed Mr Trump directed him to make the payments worth $280,000 (£230,000) to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal - something the former president denies.

IN these strange times, it seems fitting to share with you a tale of rock ’n’ roll isolation.
It involves the Lennon and McCartney of hard rock . . . Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.
Fifty years ago Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and Robert Plant took time out to escape from the wild excesses of touring The events took place precisely 50 years ago at a humble stone cottage with a slate roof overlooking Dyfi Valley, three miles from the market town of Machynlleth in rural Wales.
After two years of taking the fast lane to global stardom, guitarist Page and singer Plant were desperate to get away from it all.
They’d just finished a gruelling North American tour and, in late spring 1970, planned an escape from the wild excesses that came with phenomenal success.
Why not replace mountains of drugs, rivers of booze and forests of groupies with social distancing in real, idyllic countryside?
Plant suggested he and Page head to Bron-Yr-Aur — a picture book 18th-century former shepherd’s dwelling in Wales So Plant suggested they head to Bron-Yr-Aur, the picture book 18th-century former shepherd’s dwelling where he spent happy childhood holidays in the Fifties.
Not in attendance was the incendiary rhythm section of John Bonham (drums) and John Paul Jones (bass) but Plant was joined by his wife at the time, Maureen, and their 18-month-old daughter and Page by his girlfriend Charlotte Martin.
It was the first time they’d had a chance to genuinely hang out together, unlike their new normal lives in a blizzard of separate hotel rooms.
Crucially, the pair didn’t forget to pack various guitars and an old-school cassette machine in case the creative juices started flowing.
Jimmy Page packed various guitars and the duo's creative juices started flowing immediately Though they haven’t always seen eye to eye in the decades since, Plant once confessed to me: “We were very lucky. For a period of time, Jimmy and I were made for each other.”
Page said of his bandmate’s recommendation: “The cottage was really nice because the countryside was so peaceful. But there was no electricity. From what I remember, there were gas lamps and a gas stove.”
Of course no electricity meant no amplifiers and no bone-crushing plugged-in riffs to frighten the surrounding wildlife.
But their stay at Bron-Yr-Aur has since gone into band folklore because they sowed the seeds of songs that would appear on their next four albums — Led Zeppelin III, the untitled “Four Symbols,” Houses Of The Holy and Physical Graffiti.
Singer Robert Plant spent happy childhood holidays in the picturesque house in the Fifties In such tranquil surroundings, Page explored new sonic horizons, eschewing familiar blues rock for the folky pastoral sound that dominates Side Two of Led Zep III.
The setting also probably inspired Plant’s fantastical lyrics drawing on Celtic mysticism and the works of JRR Tolkien, namely The Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings.
On a crisp morning in early 2014, I met both guitarist and singer in different locations to talk about expanded editions of the first three Zeppelin albums — and both mentioned their time at Bron-Yr-Aur.
First up was smartly dressed Page, based at a discreet boutique hotel in Kensington, where we sipped coffee beside a log fire.
Plant and Page both mentioned their time at Bron-Yr-Aur Then I was off to a North London pub where I met dressed-down Plant for a pint in an upstairs room filled with scrubbed pine tables and rickety chairs. The contrast was startling.
And I’ll never forget Plant’s first utterances. “Have you just done Jim Bob? Laugh a minute?” he said with a big mischievous grin, alluding to their, shall we say, cool relationship at the time.
That said, I found my encounter with Page fascinating and his love of Led Zeppelin and delight at all they achieved as strong as ever.
He recalled the build-up to the Bron-Yr-Aur stay: “We were touring non-stop and at breakneck speed.
Led Zeppelin finished a gruelling North American tour in late spring 1970 “Everything was done with almost ruthless efficiency. This included going to America with the second album to show how much we had progressed since the first.”
Page added: “After that period, we needed a break, a chance to see our families, for heaven’s sake! We really hadn’t been seeing much of them.
“Robert made the call to go to the cottage in Wales and the idea was just to chill out there.”
At least two songs on Led Zep III took shape at Bron-Yr-Aur, the rousing and misspelt Bron-Y-Aur Stomp and, most notably, the gorgeous That’s The Way.
And accompanied by their respective partners, Plant and Page holed up in the house in Snowdonia National Park Page and Plant went for a walk in serene Dyfi Valley, tape recorder in hand, and found a spot by a ravine.
The guitarist began strumming while the singer improvised a verse and that’s how That’s The Way was born.
It was originally called The Boy Next Door, with thought-provoking lyrics about a problem relationship and reflections on issues around the US tour.
Page told me that this example of Led Zep’s spontaneous songwriting was typical. “I don’t think we ever stopped creating all the way through,” he said of the band, which broke up after Bonham’s untimely death in 1980.
Plant and Page wrote Led Zep classic That’s The Way at the cottage “When we were together — it could be at rehearsals or a sound check — we might do a new number. We were just jamming and making up stuff.
“We wrote That’s The Way at the cottage, and although the other members didn’t volunteer to come there, I realised it would be really productive if we could find a rural location and use a mobile recording unit.”And that, he maintained, was the reason why the peerless fourth album, complete with Black Dog and Stairway To Heaven, was recorded using such a unit at Headley Grange country house in Hampshire, and subsequently the albums Houses Of The Holy and Physical Graffiti.
A further unexpected revelation about That’s The Way came at the Unledded shows in 1994 when Plant announced that Page’s daughter Scarlet was conceived at Bron-Yr-Aur “about half-an-hour” after the song was written.
Arguably Led Zep's all time iconic anthem Stairway To Heaven was inspired by time at the cottage and contains the lyrics 'In a tree by the brook/There’s a songbird who sings' As for Led Zep’s acoustic prowess, which also included the foot-stomping Gallows Pole and yearning ballad Tangerine, Page told me: “A major percentage of the riffs on albums three and four were written on an acoustic anyway.
“I was playing acoustic all the way through. It’s what I play on Stairway for instance. And Robert’s voice at that time was clearly like another instrument.”
I asked Plant where his unearthly voice came from, ranging from a full-throated scream for full-on rock numbers to a tender croon for ballads, and he gave me an illuminating answer.
“It came from (Small Faces singer) Steve Marriott. It came from Howlin’ Wolf. It came from the tarmac lanes of the Black Country. It came from every misty mountain and every silly castle on the Welsh borders.
At least two songs on Led Zep III took shape at Bron-Yr-Aur, the rousing and misspelt Bron-Y-Aur Stomp and, most notably, the gorgeous That’s The Way “It came from me going, ‘I really love what I do and I’m going to over-cook it baby, come on!’”
He also shed light on the folk music influence so apparent in Led Zep.
“I don’t know much about the other two guys but Jimmy and I were into Bert Jansch, Davey Graham, The Incredible String Band and early Fairport Convention stuff when it was quite trippy.”
Plant complained to me that this type of music became “mollycoddled in a kind of secret hipdom”.
KISS AND TAYL Taylor Swift says new tour will have songs about love triangles and ‘dirty, dirty cheats of the world’
But the singer has made peace with the past and is reaping the rewards of ten albums full of her most personal feelings.
Taylor Swift took her fans on trip back down memory lane as she kicked off her new US tour Taylor is open that her former relationships have left an imprint on her music She revealed: “My albums have characteristically been sort of excruciatingly autobiographical.
"When I put out an album it feels like getting a live-streamed public autopsy.”
Taylor’s ghosts of boyfriends past — including Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, John Mayer, Tom Hiddleston and Jake Gyllenhaal — still haunt her piercing lyrics.
Now happily loved-up with British actor Joe Alywn for seven years, Taylor told the 70,000 screaming Swifties at State Farm Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday night to buckle up while she took them on a three-hour trip down her memory lane.
She said: “I’m really overwhelmed and trying to keep it together.
“We’re going on an adventure, one era at a time, exploring the last 17 years of music that I’ve been lucky enough for you to care about.
“We’ve got songs about break-ups, teenage love triangles, liars and dirty, dirty cheats of the world.”
Despite the raw words of her songs, energised and upbeat Taylor has clearly let go of any bitterness.

Taylor’s absence from the world stage was worth the wait as she unleashed powerful, unwavering vocals, 12 stunning costumes, an army of dancers, tight choreography, pyrotechnics, fireworks, light-up wristbands, a moving stage and multiple disappearing acts via sharp trap-door mastery.
The fans’ dedication didn’t go unnoticed either, as Taylor praised their many sartorial references to her songs Mirrorball, Willow — and a phrase from her UK No1 Anti-Hero.
She said: “I can see 17 different people dressed up as mirrorballs.
“I’ve seen really amazing specific, visual represent-ations of lyrics or weird online inside jokes that we have.
“I’ve seen someone dressed as a full entire willow tree and an alarming number of adults dressed as sexy babies.”
The concert was Taylor's first live performance in five yearsCredit: Getty Images - Getty Taylor’s relief at being reunited with her Swifties was evident — and she was self-deprecating as she reminisced about writing her album Folklore in lockdown.
She said: “I wrote this during the pandemic about how badly I craved the connection that I feel from the care you have directed my way.
“I’m gabbling. I’m trying to find an eloquent way to tell you I love you and I crave attention all the time.”
They clearly adore you just as much, Taylor.

The brand confirms Camilla owns this clutch on the website: "Spotted beneath the arms of the [former] Duchess of Cornwall, this dazzling clutch has a truly regal pedigree.

"Each item is handmade to order using our fine traditional craftsmanship," the product description reads.
The clutch features a gold-plated logo, a gold chain handle that Camilla prefers not to use, and a leather-covered mirror.
Camilla not only wore it on Commonwealth Day, but she has also used it at recent events such as Kate, Princess of Wales' Christmas Carol Concert in December, and the first state visit of King Charles's reign in November.n a touching tribute to Queen Elizabeth, Camilla also carried the black clutch bag at her funeral in September.
The late monarch, however, preferred the Turandot and Traviata style handbags, which she would elegantly drape over her arm with the handle.
The Turandot is priced at £2,600 and "is a beautiful peggy bag with an inside frame". The Traviata "is a top handle handbag crafted in finest calf leather" and is priced at £2,400.
Launer London's CEO Gerald Bodmer previously spoke to Vogue about Queen Elizabeth using the brand's handbags.
It is believed Queen Elizabeth received her very first Launer handbag from the Queen Mother in the 1950s, but Gerald was unable to confirm if this was a fact to Vogue.

He said: "She once told me that she doesn't feel dressed without a bag, and I completely agree, of course."
The Queen's final picture - stood by a fireplace dressed in a kilt, cardigan, blouse and her trust heels in Balmoral, ready to welcome Liz Truss - saw a glossy Launer handbag tucked neatly beside her.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet may be given roles in King Charles' coronation - if their parents confirm their attendance.
The 74-year-old monarch will be formally crowned at Westminster Abbey on 6 May and while it was revealed on Saturday (18.03.23) that the Prince and Princess of Wales' children, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, are likely to be part of the procession out of the building after the ceremony, it was originally thought the children's cousins would not be involved.

“And I guess music helps heal, so I’m dancing with my eyes closed to try to get through it.”
Rob goes logo
IT’S a good thing Robbie Williams has millions of fans because he isn’t one of them.
The Rock DJ singer has been wearing this personalised football shirt on tour, which features a rude emblem that reads: “The Anti Robbie Society”.

Robbie has been on the road since the beginning of January for the European leg of his XXV tour, celebrating 25 years of solo hits.
It will continue until August when he will return to the UK for two special shows on the Sandringham Estate, Norfolk.
If he isn’t already tired of his songs, I imagine he will be by then.
BILLIE’S LOOK TO TIE FOR
BILLIE Eilish took the black tie dress code literally when she wore this outfit to a TV show premiere.
The Happier Than Ever singer posed in an oversized white shirt with the tie for the launch of new horror series Swarm in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening.

Billie is expected to make her acting debut in the series as a character called Eva, although details are being kept firmly under wraps.
In recent months she has been working on her third album but if this goes well, perhaps an alternative career on screen beckons.
I Popped on Cara’s knickers
MOST people nick stuff from their siblings, but Cara Delevingne's sister Poppy took things to the next level when she slipped into the star’s diamond-encrusted underwear.
Actress Poppy said she was visiting Cara in LA when she found the designer knickers which she wore, then returned to her closet so Cara wouldn’t find out.

“When I was last in LA with her, there was a Dior thong covered in crystals and I wore it around the house for about an hour just so I could say in my mind that I’d worn it, and then I put it back.”
Speaking on the This Old Thing? podcast, she added: “I knew that if I wore it longer or if I took it home with me, she’d never forgive me.”
The least she could have done was give it a wash.
Sam bad hair day
SAM RYDER was left mortified when he met Taylor Swift – as his long locks got tangled in her earring.
Last year’s Eurovision runner-up, who was introduced to her at the American Music Awards in November, recalled: “My hair got caught in Taylor’s earring. I had to pull it out.

Asked how Taylor reacted, the Space Man singer joked: “She was like, ‘Get out of my face, never look at me again’. Nah, she was lovely.”
It’s not the only downside he has experienced from his waist-length tresses.
Speaking on the Life’s A Beach podcast, Sam admitted he is often mistaken for a woman from behind.
Might be time for a trim.
SHOW FANS APPAULED
PAUL MESCAL missed out on the Oscar for Best Actor on Sunday but a ridiculous payday will put a smile back on his face.
However, his fans aren’t quite so cheerful after seeing the sky-high ticket prices for his West End show A Streetcar Named Desire.

And fans were left outraged when tickets went on sale this week, as the cheapest one with a clear view is priced at an eye-watering £200. Premium seats, meanwhile, are going for a whopping £300.
A slightly more affordable ticket costs £77.50, but is only cheaper because it offers a “restricted view” of the stage.
One fan complained on Twitter: “It feels like half the industry is working its socks off to make theatre accessible and the other half’s like, ‘Nahhhh, you’re alright’.”
The show, which received six Olivier Award nominations, will run from March 20 to May 6, after which Paul will go into rehearsals for the Gladiator sequel, which is being filmed this summer.
Whether there was a cost-of-living crisis or not, prices like that for an evening out at the theatre are enough to put me off for good.
